Eligibility & Age Limit

Age Limit: 18–30 years as on Date specified in the parent NORCET 10 notification (typically the application close date)

OBC-NCL: +3 years (max 33); SC/ST: +5 years (max 35); PwBD: +10 years (Gen), +13 (OBC), +15 (SC/ST); Ex-Servicemen and AIIMS departmental candidates per AIIMS recruitment rules.

Educational Qualification:

• Nursing Officer educational eligibility: B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an INC-recognised institute, OR Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) from an INC-recognised institute with current registration as Nurse and Midwife from an Indian State Nursing Council. Final-year candidates are NOT eligible — the degree / diploma must be completed before the application close date.

Nationality: Indian citizens. Subjects of Nepal and Bhutan and Tibetan refugees who came to India before 1 January 1962 are eligible per Government of India norms.

How to Check Your Result

1. Visit the official portal of AIIMS — direct link in the result CTA above.
2. Locate the result link for the relevant examination + year (most boards have a dedicated result-check page per cycle).
3. Enter your Roll Number and Date of Birth exactly as they appear on the admit card.
4. Submit the form. The provisional mark sheet PDF will display on screen.
5. Save and print at least two copies of the score card for your records.
6. Cross-check name spelling, subject codes, and totals. If anything looks wrong, follow the re-checking / re-evaluation process within the official window.
7. The original embossed mark sheet is collected from the candidate's school 30-60 days later, when the examining body dispatches printed certificates.

OBC qualified candidates (6,236) form the largest single category — about 44.7% of the qualified pool. Female candidates dominate the merit list with a 71:29 female-to-male ratio, consistent with NORCET cycles where nursing remains a strongly female-skewed profession at the entry-level recruitment stage.

How to check your NORCET 10 CBT-II Result 2026

The Result PDF is available on aiimsexams.ac.in without login — AIIMS publishes the full qualified-candidates list as a downloadable PDF organised by category and gender. To find your own status:

1. Open aiimsexams.ac.in homepage.
2. Navigate to "Results" or "Recruitment" → "NORCET 10".
3. Click the link "NORCET-10 (Stage 2 / Mains) Result — Notification 160/2026".
4. The PDF downloads immediately. Use Ctrl+F (Cmd+F on Mac) to search for your Roll Number or Registration Number.
5. If your number appears with a "Qualified" status, proceed to the Choice Filling step (window: 25 May to 2 June 2026 by 5 PM).
6. Individual scorecards with category-wise rank can be downloaded from the candidate dashboard after logging in with your Registration Number + Date of Birth.

Post-result counselling — choice filling + seat allocation

Qualifying the CBT-II is a major milestone, but allotment to a specific institute is decided by the choice-filling round between 25 May and 2 June 2026 (5 PM). Participating institutes and their typical seat distribution (full break-down published with the seat-allocation notice expected on 20 May):

Allotment is strictly by merit rank within category × stated preference order. Higher-rank candidates get top-preference postings; lower-rank candidates may be allotted to remote AIIMS campuses or non-AIIMS institutes (ESIC, NITRD). Choice locking is final — choices submitted by the 2 June deadline cannot be modified after.

Pay scale + career progression

Nursing Officers recruited via NORCET 10 join at Pay Level 7 of the 7th CPC matrix with basic pay ₹44,900 per month. Gross in-hand pay reaches approximately ₹65,000–₹75,000 after Dearness Allowance (currently 53%), House Rent Allowance (24% / 16% / 8% per city class), Transport Allowance, Nursing Allowance, Patient Care Allowance, NPS employer contribution and free CGHS medical coverage for the candidate and dependent family members.

Career progression: Nursing Officer → Senior Nursing Officer → Assistant Nursing Superintendent → Deputy Nursing Superintendent → Nursing Superintendent → Chief Nursing Officer via internal AIIMS promotion examinations every 4-6 years. Post-graduate qualifications (M.Sc. Nursing) accelerate promotion eligibility.

What if your name is not on the qualified list?

For candidates who appeared in CBT-II but didn't qualify, the immediate options are:

1. Wait for NORCET 11 notification. AIIMS conducts NORCET cycles approximately twice a year — NORCET 11 notification is typically expected within 6-9 months of NORCET 10's completion. Watch aiimsexams.ac.in and our admit card hub for updates.

Check the PDF for your roll number AND registration number — sometimes the same candidate appears under different IDs depending on whether they applied with Aadhaar-linked or non-Aadhaar registration.
