How AFMS selection works (no written exam)
AFMS SSC MO has no separate written exam. Applicants are shortlisted on their NEET PG 2024 or 2025 percentile, then called for an interview at Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi Cantt. After the interview, candidates clear a medical board and then receive a commission. The entire process is tri-service — one common AFMS entry feeds the Army, Navy and Air Force medical branches.
AFMS SSC MO Eligibility
You need an MBBS degree (with internship completed by the cut-off in the bulletin) and permanent registration with the NMC or a State Medical Council. The age limit is 30 years as on 31 December 2026 (with category relaxations as per rules). A valid NEET PG 2024 or 2025 score is the screening filter.
Service terms & benefits
SSC Medical Officers are commissioned for a fixed short-service tenure (typically 5 years, extendable). The role offers officer-rank pay, Military Service Pay, free accommodation/messing, medical cover and standard Armed Forces allowances.
