The AIIMS NORCET 10 CBT-2 (Mains) Result 2026 is OUT. Per multiple reports, AIIMS declared the Stage-II / CBT-2 result on 12 May 2026 at aiimsexams.ac.in — confirm the live link on the official site. CBT-2 decides the final merit for the Nursing Officer Recruitment, after the CBT-1 screening stage. Check your scorecard on the MyPage portal using your Candidate ID and password.

How to Check NORCET 10 CBT-2 Result 2026

  1. Go to aiimsexams.ac.in and open the Results / Notice Board section.
  2. For the merit list, open the NORCET 10 Stage-II result PDF and search your roll number (Ctrl+F).
  3. For your scorecard, log in to MyPage with your Candidate ID and password (date of birth may be needed).
  4. Download and print the scorecard for document verification.

What is the difference between NORCET CBT-1 and CBT-2?

NORCET is a two-stage exam. CBT-1 (Stage-I) is a screening/qualifying test that shortlists candidates; CBT-2 (Stage-II / Mains) decides the final merit for Nursing Officer selection. So clearing CBT-1 only gets you to CBT-2 — your CBT-2 score is what counts for selection, followed by document verification, institute-preference filling and allotment.

What is the NORCET CBT-2 cut-off / qualifying percentile?

NORCET CBT-2 is held in multiple shifts, so raw marks are normalized to a percentile to adjust for shift difficulty. The qualifying percentile is set category-wise (UR/EWS higher, OBC and SC/ST lower), and the actual cut-off is released category-wise with the result. Because of normalization, your scorecard percentile won't equal your raw marks. Check your own category's cut-off on the official result, and treat any "expected cut-off" figures online as estimates.

What's Next After the CBT-2 Result?

After CBT-2, selected candidates move to choice/preference filling (ranking AIIMS institutes and central-government hospitals), then institute allocation by merit + preference, followed by document verification and medical examination. Keep your educational certificates (10th/12th, B.Sc Nursing/GNM), category certificates and ID ready. Qualifying CBT-2 does not by itself guarantee a posting — final allotment depends on your rank versus vacancies.

AIIMS Nursing Officer Salary

Nursing Officers are appointed at Pay Level-7 (basic ₹44,900, range ₹44,900–₹1,42,400). With DA, HRA and nursing allowance, the gross is roughly ₹70,000–₹1,00,000/month depending on city, and the in-hand for a fresher is typically around ₹55,000–₹72,000.

Practical Tips

  • CBT-1 is only qualifying — final selection rests entirely on CBT-2 merit.
  • Percentile ≠ marks: percentile reflects your rank in your shift after normalization, not raw score.
  • Institute allotment = rank + your preference order — fill preferences carefully; a wrong order can land a less-preferred posting.
  • Merit list vs scorecard: the public PDF shows shortlisted roll numbers; the MyPage scorecard shows your marks.

NORCET 10 me kitne vacancies hain?
NORCET 10 covers 2,779 Nursing Officer posts across AIIMS campuses, CAPFIMS, VMMC & Safdarjung, JIPMER, ESIC, NITRD, AIIPMR and CIP Ranchi. The vacancy count was revised upward from the initial 2,551 advertised in Advt 17/2026. Out of 13,963 qualified candidates, allotment to specific institutes happens via the 25 May–2 June 2026 choice-filling round.
NORCET 10 ki cut-off kya hai?
AIIMS releases the category-wise cut-off marks alongside the CBT-II result PDF. Per analyst estimates from Careerpower and PW Live, expected General-category cut-off is approximately 70-78 marks out of 200. Exact cut-offs for UR, OBC, EWS, SC, ST and PwBD categories are published in the result notification. The 13,963 qualified pool reflects roughly 5× the vacancy, suggesting AIIMS used a generous cut-off to enable preference-filling flexibility.
NORCET 10 ke baad kya karna hai? — choice filling kab hogi?
Qualified candidates must complete online choice / preference filling between 25 May and 2 June 2026 (5 PM IST) at aiimsexams.ac.in. Select preferred institutes in priority order — AIIMS New Delhi typically gets the highest demand. Seat allocation notice expected 20 May 2026. Document Verification and Medical Examination follow in June 2026. Choice locking is final — preferences cannot be changed after the 2 June deadline.
NORCET Nursing Officer ki salary kitni hai?
Nursing Officers recruited via NORCET join at Pay Level 7 of the 7th CPC matrix with basic pay ₹44,900 per month. Gross in-hand pay reaches ₹65,000-₹75,000 after Dearness Allowance (53%), HRA (8-24% per city class), Transport, Nursing and Patient Care Allowances, NPS contribution, and free CGHS medical coverage for the candidate and dependent family.
NORCET 10 me kitne candidates qualify hue?
A total of 13,963 candidates qualified the CBT-II per AIIMS Notification 160/2026. Breakdown: UR 1,905 · EWS 1,868 · OBC 6,236 · SC 2,802 · ST 1,152. Gender split: Female 9,973 (71.4%) vs Male 4,105 (28.6%) — female candidates dominate the merit list, consistent with NORCET trends across all 10 cycles where nursing remains a strongly female-skewed profession at entry-level recruitment.
Which AIIMS institutes are participating in NORCET 10?
NORCET 10 fills Nursing Officer posts at: all 19+ AIIMS campuses (New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh, Nagpur, Guwahati, Bilaspur, Deoghar, Gorakhpur, Kalyani, Madurai, Mangalagiri, Rajkot, Bibinagar, Vijaypur and others), CAPFIMS (Delhi), VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital (Delhi — large vacancy share), JIPMER (Puducherry + Karaikal), ESIC hospitals (multi-state), NITRD (Delhi), AIIPMR (Mumbai) and CIP Ranchi. Allotment is by merit rank × preference order.
NORCET 10 choice filling kab hogi aur kaise kare?
After the CBT-II result + final merit, AIIMS opens the online choice-filling / preference-locking window on aiimsexams.ac.in — typically within 1-2 weeks of the final result. Steps: (1) login with your registration number + password, (2) view the institute + post list, (3) arrange your preferences in order (which AIIMS / Safdarjung / JIPMER / ESIC hospital you want, in priority order), (4) lock + save. Critical: fill preferences carefully — allotment is by merit rank × your locked preference order, and you cannot change it after locking. Candidates who skip choice filling are not considered for allotment. Verify the exact dates on the official choice-filling notice.
NORCET CBT exam hai ya OMR / pen-paper?
NORCET is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) — fully online on a computer at AIIMS-allotted exam centres. It is not an OMR / pen-paper exam. Both Stage-I (Prelims) and Stage-II (Mains) of NORCET are CBT. The CBT format means: questions appear on screen, you click to answer, there is an on-screen timer, and you can mark questions for review + change answers within the time limit. Negative marking applies (1/3rd per wrong answer). Carry your admit card + valid photo ID to the centre; no rough paper is allowed beyond what the centre provides.
NORCET me male aur female candidates ka ratio kya hai?
NORCET (and the Nursing Officer cadre generally) has no fixed male:female reservation ratio — selection is purely merit-based regardless of gender. Both male + female candidates compete on the same merit list within their category (UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD). Historically the nursing profession has skewed female, so the applicant pool has more women, but AIIMS does not cap or reserve seats by gender. A higher-ranked male candidate is selected over a lower-ranked female candidate and vice versa — rank decides, not gender.
NORCET 10 ke baad joining kab hogi?
After the final result → choice filling → institute allotment → document verification + medical examination, the allotted AIIMS / hospital issues an offer of appointment. Joining typically happens 1-3 months after allotment, depending on the institute's document-verification + medical-clearance schedule + the candidate's relieving from any current employer. Nursing Officers join at Pay Level 7 (basic ₹44,900). The exact joining date is communicated in the appointment letter from the allotted institute — there is no single national joining date since allotment is institute-wise.

Participating institutes and their typical seat distribution (full break-down published with the seat-allocation notice expected on 20 May):

  • AIIMS New Delhi — flagship institute, highest-preference posting
  • AIIMS other campuses — 19+ AIIMS across Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh, Nagpur, Bibinagar, Guwahati, Bilaspur, Deoghar, Gorakhpur, Kalyani, Madurai, Mangalagiri, Rajkot, Vijaypur and more

Career progression: Nursing Officer → Senior Nursing Officer → Assistant Nursing Superintendent → Deputy Nursing Superintendent → Nursing Superintendent → Chief Nursing Officer via internal AIIMS promotion examinations every 4-6 years. Post-graduate qualifications (M.Sc. Nursing) accelerate promotion eligibility.

What if your name is not on the qualified list?

For candidates who appeared in CBT-II but didn't qualify, the immediate options are:

  1. Wait for NORCET 11 notification. AIIMS conducts NORCET cycles approximately twice a year — NORCET 11 notification is typically expected within 6-9 months of NORCET 10's completion. Watch aiimsexams.ac.in and our admit card hub for updates.
  2. Parallel nursing recruitments. ESIC Nursing Officer, Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Nursing posts, state-government nursing recruitments (UPSSSC ANM, Bihar ANM/GNM, Maharashtra MPSC Nursing) all accept the same B.Sc. Nursing / GNM eligibility — see our MBBS jobs hub for active openings.
  3. Cross-check the merit list carefully. Check the PDF for your roll number AND registration number — sometimes the same candidate appears under different IDs depending on whether they applied with Aadhaar-linked or non-Aadhaar registration. Reach out to AIIMS via the candidate-grievance portal if you suspect a clerical exclusion.
