Eligibility & Age Limit

Educational Qualification:
- ITI Instructor (general): ITI / Diploma / Degree in the relevant trade applied for, from a recognised board / institute / university. CITS (Crafts Instructor Training Scheme) certificate is the preferred qualification for ITI Instructors but trade-wise requirements vary per advertisement.
- Surveying / Machinist / Welder / Fitter: ITI in the relevant trade + CITS in the same trade, OR Diploma in the relevant engineering stream from a recognised polytechnic.
- Electronics Mechanic / Radio & TV Mechanic: ITI in Electronics Mechanic / R&TV Mechanic + CITS, OR Diploma in Electronics / Communication Engineering.
- Electrician / Wireman: ITI in Electrician / Wireman + CITS, OR Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Automobile / Tractor Mechanic / Agriculture & Machinery / Leather Technology: ITI in the specific trade + CITS, OR Diploma / Degree in the relevant engineering stream (Automobile / Mechanical / Agricultural / Leather Technology) per the trade-wise advertisement.
Nationality: Indian citizen. Bihar domicile per the trade-wise advertisement. Postings at Bihar State ITIs and training institutes under the Department of Labour Resources, Bihar.
Selection Process
- Online Application (CLOSED) — Applied at btsc.bihar.gov.in between 15 April and 15 May 2026 with ₹100 fee. No further applications accepted.
- Admit Card — BTSC will release the admit card at btsc.bihar.gov.in approximately 10-15 days before the written exam. Candidates download using their registration number and date of birth.
- Written Examination — Objective-type written test with trade-specific questions, general studies, and general knowledge per the BTSC Instructor syllabus. Tentative window: July-August 2026.
- Provisional + Final Answer Key — BTSC releases the provisional answer key within 1-2 weeks of the exam, allows an objection window, and then publishes the final answer key with the result.
- Document Verification + Final Merit — Shortlisted candidates verify originals at BTSC headquarters Patna: ITI / Diploma / Degree certificates, CITS certificate (where applicable), Bihar domicile, age proof, caste / EWS / PwBD certificate, photo ID. No separate interview per the advertisement pattern.
