What is the difference between Summer Zone and Winter Zone in JKBOSE?

Because of J&K's climate, JKBOSE runs two cycles. The Summer Zone (mainly Jammu Division) holds Class 10 exams around February–March with results in April — this is the 21 April 2026 result. The Winter Zone (mainly Kashmir Division) holds exams in October–December with results around January. They are different cohorts with separate result dates, so always check the zone that matches your school.

What are the JKBOSE 10th passing marks?

You need a minimum of 33% in each subject AND in aggregate to pass. JKBOSE awards grades (A1 for 90–100, down to E). If you clear 33% everywhere, you pass; your grade reflects your overall performance. Check the official grading scheme on jkbose.nic.in for the full band table.

How to apply for JKBOSE re-evaluation 2026 (and the fee)

If your marks look wrong, apply for re-evaluation or a photocopy (xerox) of your answer script on jkbose.nic.in within the official window. As per the 2026 notice, the fee is around ₹580 per script for re-evaluation and ₹300 for a photocopy (verify the exact amount on the official notification). Re-evaluation can raise, lower or keep your marks unchanged, so apply thoughtfully. The Class 10 Summer Zone re-evaluation window opened in late April 2026 and has now closed.

Compartment / Bi-Annual Exam & Marksheet

Students who failed or want to improve can appear in the JKBOSE Bi-Annual (Private/Additional) examination held after the Annual result — the 2026 dates are yet to be notified, so watch jkbose.nic.in. Your online marksheet is provisional; the original is issued through your school a few weeks later, and a digital copy is available on DigiLocker/UMANG.

Practical Tips

  • Check the right zone. Summer = Jammu (April result), Winter = Kashmir (January result). Landing on the wrong one is the #1 confusion.
  • Login needs Roll Number + Registration Number — not DOB (DOB is only used on DigiLocker).
  • Site slow on result day? Try the SMS option (JKBOSE10 to 5676750) or the jkresults.nic.in mirror.
  • Use only official sites — jkbose.nic.in, jkresults.nic.in, jkbose.jk.gov.in and DigiLocker.

Disclaimer: Compiled from JKBOSE announcements and reputable reports (last verified 5 June 2026). This is the Summer Zone (Jammu) result; verify topper spellings, the re-evaluation fee and any compartment dates on the official JKBOSE notification.
