NEET result 2026 kab aayega?
As of now, NTA has not announced an exact date. The official position, per the senior NTA official quoted by ANI, is that the result will be out by 20 July 2026. How to check the NEET UG 2026 result
- Go to the official portal neet.nta.nic.in (link in the Important Links section below).
- Click the “NEET (UG) 2026 Result / Scorecard” link once it is activated.
- Log in with your application number and password or date of birth.
- Your scorecard opens — check your total marks, percentile, All India Rank (AIR), category rank and qualifying status.
- Download and print the scorecard — you will need it throughout counselling and admission.
On result day the portal often slows under load — off-peak hours (late night/early morning) usually work better, and the scorecard remains available for weeks, so a delayed download loses you nothing.
Estimate your score before the result

Qualifying percentile and expected cut-off
NEET qualification is percentile-based, not a fixed mark:

Because the percentile is relative, the 2026 qualifying marks will depend on how the 20-lakh re-exam pool performed — they are published only with the result. The 2025 numbers above are context, not a prediction.
What the NEET scorecard shows

After the result — the counselling roadmap
Qualified candidates enter counselling in two parallel streams: the MCC (mcc.nic.in) conducts the All India Quota (15%), deemed/central universities, AIIMS and JIPMER seats, while state authorities run the 85% state-quota rounds. The official 2026 MCC schedule has not been announced yet — it follows the result, and given the “by 20 July” result window, counselling registration is broadly expected in late July or August. Why there was a re-exam — the short version
The original NEET UG 2026 exam held on 3 May 2026 was cancelled by NTA on 12 May after central-agency inputs indicated a paper leak — reportedly a “guess paper” circulating around coaching hubs that overlapped heavily with the real paper. A CBI investigation is under way. The Supreme Court refused to halt the re-test and declined a plea to switch it to computer-based mode; a challenge to the cancellation itself is before a larger bench, listed for 17 July 2026. The re-exam went ahead on 21 June under heavy security — biometric authentication, jammers and CCTV across 5,440 centres in about 551 cities plus 14 cities abroad. The re-exam pattern was the standard 180 compulsory questions / 720 marks (Physics 45, Chemistry 45, Biology 90) with the optional Section-B format scrapped from 2026.

This is an estimate based on the provisional answer key. Your final score depends on the final answer key issued after objections are reviewed. Unattempted questions score zero. How to Check Your Result
- Visit the official portal of NTA — the official link is in the Important Links section at the bottom of this page.
- Locate the result link for the relevant examination + year (most boards have a dedicated result-check page per cycle).
- Enter your Roll Number and Date of Birth exactly as they appear on the admit card.
- Submit the form. The provisional mark sheet PDF will display on screen.
- Save and print at least two copies of the score card for your records.
- Cross-check name spelling, subject codes, and totals. If anything looks wrong, follow the re-checking / re-evaluation process within the official window.
- The original embossed mark sheet is collected from the candidate's school 30-60 days later, when the examining body dispatches printed certificates.
