The NEET UG 2026 result is awaited. As of 5 June 2026, NTA has not announced a result date. Because the exam was rescheduled and a re-exam has been reported for 21 June 2026, the result is now expected in July 2026 rather than mid-June. This is an estimate — NTA has not confirmed any result date, and candidates should ignore older mid-June predictions, which were made before the re-exam. The result and scorecard will appear at neet.nta.nic.in.

How does the NEET result work — marks, percentile and rank?
The scorecard shows your total out of 720, a percentile (your standing relative to all candidates), an All India Rank (AIR) and a category rank. NEET marking is +4 for correct and −1 for wrong. The qualifying percentiles are fixed every year — 50th percentile for General/EWS and 40th for OBC/SC/ST (45th for General-PwD). Note that the marks equivalent to these percentiles change every year with difficulty and candidate numbers, so no 2026 cut-off marks exist until the result is declared.
What happens after the NEET result — counselling
Qualifying NEET is not admission. Seats are filled through counselling: 15% All India Quota (AIQ) is handled centrally by MCC (mcc.nic.in), and the 85% State Quota is run by each state's counselling authority. Both use your NEET All India Rank across multiple rounds. Counselling registration is separate from the exam — you must register again on the MCC and/or state portals after the result.
Practical Tips
- Ignore stale "mid-June result" articles — with the 21 June re-exam, the result is now a July expectation.
- Qualifying percentile ≠ cut-off marks — the percentile is fixed; the marks change yearly.
- AIR vs category rank — both appear on the scorecard; the category rank decides reserved-seat counselling.
- Trust only neet.nta.nic.in — avoid fake "result out" links during this period.
Disclaimer: Compiled from NTA notices and reputable reports (last verified 5 June 2026). The result date is an estimate — NTA has not announced one. Re-exam and rescheduling details are as reported; verify the current status on neet.nta.nic.in. No marks or toppers are published before the official result.
