SSC GD Constable Answer Key 2026 — Objection Window Open Till 20 June

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the provisional answer key and response sheet for the SSC GD Constable 2026 recruitment — its highest-volume exam, filling 25,487 constable posts across the Central Armed Police Forces. The key is provisional, so this short window is your one chance to match your answers, estimate your score, and challenge any genuinely wrong key answer before it is locked into the final key.

How to download the answer key and match your response sheet

1. Open the SSC portal (the official login link is in the Important Links section below).
2. Click the SSC GD Constable 2026 answer key / response sheet link.
3. Log in with your Registration Number and password.
4. Download both the answer key and your response sheet (your recorded answers).
5. Open them side by side and compare option-by-option, marking each answer right or wrong.

SSC GD exam pattern & marking scheme

The SSC GD Constable Computer-Based Exam is a single 60-minute paper of 80 questions for 160 marks, with no sectional timing — you manage all four sections within the hour.

Marking is +2 for every correct answer and −0.25 for every wrong answer; unattempted questions carry no penalty. Because each wrong answer costs a quarter-mark, careless guessing across many questions quietly pulls your score down.

How to estimate your SSC GD score

After matching your response sheet against the key, count your correct and wrong answers and apply the formula (Correct × 2) − (Wrong × 0.25). Leave unattempted questions out — they score zero.

Worked example: with 60 correct, 15 wrong and 5 left blank, your raw score is (60 × 2) − (15 × 0.25) = 120 − 3.75 = 116.25 marks. This is a raw score: because the exam ran over many shifts, SSC normalises marks before the result, so your final normalised score can differ a little from this estimate.

How to raise an objection

If you believe a key answer is wrong, you can challenge it before the window closes on 20 June 2026 (6 PM).

1. Log in to the SSC portal during the objection window.
2. Select the question you dispute and choose the answer you believe is correct.
3. Upload supporting evidence — an NCERT page, a standard reference book, or an official document.
4. Pay ₹50 per question and submit; the fee is refunded if your objection is accepted by the expert committee.

SSC accepts objections only when backed by published, verifiable sources. Vague claims and coaching-material screenshots are rejected, so cite a credible source for every challenge.

SSC GD cut-off — what the trend says

SSC does not publish a single national cut-off. The SSC GD cut-off is released force-wise and state/UT-wise, separately for male and female candidates, so the figure that matters to you depends on the force and state you applied against. As an indicative reference, the 2024 cut-offs were roughly:

SC and ST cut-offs run below these (2024 female SC was around 138), and every figure varies by force and state. In 2025 the cut-offs fell by roughly 10–12 marks across categories. Treat any "expected cut-off 2026" figure online as an estimate, not a confirmed number — the official cut-off comes only with the result. Compare your estimated score against these past bands to judge whether you are in contention.

What happens after the answer key

Once the window closes, SSC reviews every valid challenge and releases the final answer key with any revised answers. The result is prepared on the basis of that final key, after which shortlisted candidates proceed to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST) and the medical examination. If your estimated score is comfortably above the past cut-off bands, begin PET/PST preparation now rather than waiting for the result.
