(2024–2023 figures are as reported by exam trackers; verify against KSEAB for absolute precision.)

What is the difference between SSLC Exam-1, Exam-2 and Exam-3?

Karnataka has replaced the old single "supplementary" with three full exams in the same academic year — Exam-1, Exam-2 and Exam-3. Any student can sit Exam-2 or Exam-3 to clear failed subjects OR improve their marks, and your best score across all attempts is taken as final. Exam-1 was held in March–April 2026; Exam-2 in May 2026 (consolidated best-of result on 30 May 2026); Exam-3 is expected around June 2026 (confirm dates on the KSEAB site).

What are the passing marks in Karnataka SSLC (out of 625)?

SSLC is marked out of 625 (500 external + 125 internal). You must score the minimum in each subject and a 33% aggregate (about 206/625) to pass. Grades run from A+ (90%+) down to the minimum pass grade. KSEAB does not push a failing subject to pass with grace marks — you genuinely need the per-subject minimum (confirm the exact subject-wise minimums in the official result notification).

How to apply for SSLC revaluation / retotaling

If your marks look wrong, first apply for a scanned copy (photocopy) of your answer book, then for retotaling / revaluation (a per-subject fee applies, commonly around ₹500 for the scanned copy). For 2026, the scanned-copy window was 23–26 April and revaluation 28 April–4 May, with revised results on 16 May — these windows have closed, so check kseab.karnataka.gov.in for any reopened window before relying on this.

DigiLocker & Original Marksheet

Your online marks card is provisional. Download the digital marksheet from DigiLocker (search "Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board" → SSLC Marks Memo → Register Number + 2026) — it is valid for admissions. The original physical marksheet is issued by your school within about 10–15 days.

Practical Tips

  • No secret code for SSLC. Only Register Number + DOB are needed — the secret code/PIN is for PUC (Class 12). This trips up many students.
  • Site slow at result time? Use the kseab.karnataka.gov.in mirror, DigiLocker, or KarnatakaOne instead of karresults.nic.in.
  • DOB must match the admission ticket exactly.
  • You can improve even after passing — sit Exam-2/Exam-3 and your best score counts.

Disclaimer: Compiled from KSEAB announcements and reputable reports (last verified 5 June 2026). The 94.10% figure is the Exam-1 result; confirm which exam round applies to you and verify individual marks on the official marks card.
