JIPMAT 2026 exam pattern
JIPMAT is a computer-based test of 100 multiple-choice questions across three sections — Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension — for a total of 400 marks in 150 minutes. There is negative marking of one mark per wrong answer (each correct answer carries +4). Because the sections are evenly weighted, accuracy across all three is what separates selected candidates — there is no sectional cut-off relaxation for a strong single section.
What happens after the exam
After JIPMAT, NTA releases a provisional answer key (with an objection window) followed by the result and a merit list. IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu then conduct admission counselling based on the JIPMAT score; final selection considers the test score along with the institute's admission policy. Keep your scorecard, Class 10 and 12 marksheets, category certificate (if applicable) and photo ID ready for the counselling stage.
