The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the admit card for the NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination, which is scheduled for 21 June 2026. This re-test is for a specific set of candidates as notified by NTA, not for everyone who appeared in NEET 2026. The first thing to do is log in and confirm whether your re-exam admit card is available; the reason for the re-exam and the list of included candidates are set out in the official NTA notice.

Who is eligible for the re-exam

NTA holds a re-examination for a defined group of candidates when required, and only those candidates can download this admit card. We do not speculate on why the re-exam is being held or who is included — that information is stated in the official NTA notice, and you should rely on it rather than on unverified claims circulating online. If you are not on NTA's re-exam list, your original NEET 2026 result stands and you do not need to do anything here.

How to download the re-exam admit card

  1. Go to the NEET portal (the official link is in the Important Links section below) and open the NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination admit-card link.
  2. Log in with your Application Number / Registration Number and date of birth (or password).
  3. Check every detail — name, photo, exam centre, date and reporting time — against your records.
  4. Download and take two printouts on plain A4 paper.
  5. If any detail is wrong, contact NTA immediately through the helpline/email on the notice.

Exam-day essentials & NEET dress code

  • Carry the printed admit card, a passport-size photograph (same as on the form) and an original valid photo ID (Aadhaar preferred).
  • Follow the NEET dress code printed on the admit card — light half-sleeve clothing, simple footwear (slippers/sandals rather than shoes), and no jewellery, accessories or items that could conceal devices.
  • Reach the centre by the reporting time on the admit card — gates close well before the exam starts and late entry is not allowed.
  • Leave banned items — mobile phones, smart devices, calculators, study material — outside the hall; follow the frisking and biometric instructions.

What happens after the re-exam

After the re-examination on 21 June 2026, NTA processes the responses and issues a revised result/scorecard for the affected candidates. Admission counselling — through the MCC All-India Quota and the state quotas — is conducted on the basis of the final NEET result. Kya sabhi NEET 2026 candidates ko re-exam dena hai?क्या सभी NEET 2026 अभ्यर्थियों को री-एग्ज़ाम देना है?

No. The re-examination is only for the specific candidates whom NTA has notified, not for everyone. If a re-exam admit card is not available in your NEET login, your original NEET 2026 result stands and you do not appear in the re-test.

Why is NTA holding a NEET re-exam?

What should I carry and wear for the NEET re-exam?

Carry the printed admit card, a passport-size photo and an original valid photo ID, and follow the NEET dress code on the admit card — light half-sleeve clothing, simple footwear, and no jewellery or accessories. NEET UG Re-Exam Admit Card 2026 — Out at neet.nta.nic.in, Re-Test on 21 June — Analysis & Trends

A note for candidates and parents.

Trust only the official NTA notice on this one. A NEET re-examination is an emotive, high-stakes event, and unverified claims about the reason, the number of candidates or the centres involved spread quickly — none of that should change what you do. If your re-exam admit card is available in your NEET login, download it, verify every detail, and prepare for 21 June exactly as you would for the main exam; if it is not, your original result stands. Two practical points: re-read the NEET dress-code and reporting-time instructions on the admit card the night before, because the most common avoidable failures at NEET are late arrival and a banned item, not the paper itself. And remember that counselling — MCC All-India Quota and the state quotas — runs on the final result, so once the revised scorecard is out, shift your attention to choice-filling and document readiness. Confirm every date and rule on neet.nta.nic.in rather than on social media.
