The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), and for PhD admission. How to download the city slip & admit card
- Open the UGC NET NTA portal (the official link is in the Important Links section at the bottom of this page).
- Click the "Exam City Intimation" link (now) or the "Admit Card" link (from 15 June).
- Log in with your application number and date of birth / password.
- Download the PDF; from the admit card, note your subject date, shift and reporting time.
- Print the admit card and carry it with a valid photo ID on exam day.
Exam-day essentials
UGC NET is a single 3-hour computer-based paper combining Paper 1 (Teaching & Research Aptitude, 50 questions) and Paper 2 (your subject, 100 questions), with no break and no negative marking. Reach the centre at the reporting time on the admit card (gates close before the exam), carry your printed admit card and original ID, and follow the prohibited-items and dress-code rules. Check the exact date for your subject carefully — the 87 subjects are spread across the six exam days.

How to Download Your Admit Card
- Visit the official portal of NTA — the official link is in the Important Links section at the bottom of this page.
- Click on the admit card / e-admission certificate link for UGC NET June 2026 Exam City Slip Out — Admit Card 15 June, Exam 22-30 June.
- Enter your Registration Number / Roll Number + Date of Birth + the displayed CAPTCHA.
- Download the PDF and print on A4 — keep at least 3 copies.
- Verify all details (name, photo, exam centre, shift). Report any discrepancy to the recruiter immediately.
- Carry the printed admit card + a valid photo ID (Aadhaar / PAN / Driving Licence) to the centre.

Use these days well: candidates sitting on 22 June have barely a week, so confirm your subject's exact date the moment the admit card drops and lock travel and accommodation around it, especially if your allotted city is far from home. On preparation, the highest-return revision now is Paper 1 (Teaching & Research Aptitude) — it is scoring, predictable and common to every candidate, so a strong Paper 1 can lift a borderline subject score into the qualifying band. Since there is no negative marking, plan to attempt every question. And do not rely on the city slip for anything beyond the city: the centre address, shift and reporting time only appear on the admit card, and those are what actually get you into the hall.
