The CTET admit card 2026 for the September session has not been released yet. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the Central Teacher Eligibility Test for the September 2026 session on 6 September 2026 (Sunday) in offline OMR mode, and it releases the hall ticket on ctet.nic.in about two days before the exam — expected in early September 2026. There is no separate city-intimation slip and no posted hard copy: the admit card is the single online document candidates download with their application number and date of birth.
CTET admit card kab aayega?
CBSE does not publish the admit card weeks in advance. The notification (released 11 May 2026), the application window (11 May to 10 June 2026) and the correction window (15 to 18 June 2026) are all over; the next milestone is the admit card, which historically appears on ctet.nic.in roughly two days before exam day. For the 6 September 2026 exam, that points to early September 2026. CBSE announces the exact date through a short notice on the portal — the precise release date is not yet officially confirmed, so keep your login details ready and check ctet.nic.in in the first week of September.
How to download the CTET September 2026 admit card
- Visit the official portal ctet.nic.in.
- Click the "CTET September 2026 Admit Card" link on the homepage when it goes live.
- Log in with your application number and date of birth / password.
- Check every detail on the hall ticket — name, photo, paper opted, exam centre and shift — then download the PDF.
- Print at least two clear copies on A4 paper and keep them safe until the exam.
If you have forgotten your application number, use the "Forgot Application Number" option on the login page and recover it with your registered details before the admit card window opens.
What the CTET admit card shows
Your hall ticket carries your name, roll number, photograph and signature, the paper(s) you opted for, the exam date and shift, the full exam-centre address, the reporting and gate-closing time, and the exam-day instructions. CTET is held in two shifts on the same day: Paper II (for Classes VI to VIII) in the morning, 9:30 AM to 12:00 noon, and Paper I (for Classes I to V) in the afternoon, 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Candidates who applied for both papers sit both shifts, so their admit card shows two reporting times.
Documents to carry to the exam centre
- The printed CTET admit card (a soft copy on a phone is not accepted).
- One original, valid photo ID — Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, Passport or Driving Licence.
- A recent passport-size photograph matching the one on the application.
- A PwD certificate if you applied under that category and requested a scribe or compensatory time.
Reach the centre well before the reporting time printed on your admit card. Candidates are not allowed in after the gate closes, and personal items such as mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators and study material are barred from the exam hall.

To qualify, a candidate needs 60% (90 out of 150) if unreserved and 55% (82 out of 150) if from a reserved category. A qualifying CTET certificate is valid for a lifetime and is required for teaching posts in KVS, NVS, DSSSB, EMRS, Central Tibetan Schools and most state PRT/TGT recruitments.
What if there is an error on the admit card?
Download the admit card the moment it releases and verify every field. Because the correction window (15 to 18 June 2026) has already closed, you cannot edit application data now — but if there is a printing error in your photo, name or other particulars on the hall ticket itself, contact the CTET helpline / CBSE immediately through the contact details on ctet.nic.in, and carry your original photo ID to the centre for verification. Do not wait until exam day to report a mismatch.

Go to ctet.nic.in, click the CTET September 2026 admit card link, and log in with your application number and date of birth / password. Verify your details, download the PDF and take at least two clear A4 printouts.
Admit card aur application form mein kya antar hai?एडमिट कार्ड और एप्लिकेशन फॉर्म में क्या अंतर है?
The application form (filled 11 May to 10 June 2026) is how you registered for CTET. The admit card is the hall ticket released ~2 days before the exam that you must carry to the centre — it shows your roll number, exam centre address, shift and reporting time. The application and correction windows are now closed.
What documents do I need to carry with the CTET admit card?
Carry the printed admit card plus one original valid photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, Passport or Driving Licence) and a passport-size photo matching your application. PwD candidates who requested a scribe should carry the relevant certificate. A phone-screen soft copy is not accepted.
What are the CTET September 2026 exam shift timings?
CTET is held on 6 September 2026 (Sunday) in two shifts: Paper II (Classes VI-VIII) from 9:30 AM to 12:00 noon and Paper I (Classes I-V) from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Candidates who applied for both papers sit both shifts. Each paper is 150 questions for 150 marks in 2 hours 30 minutes, with no negative marking.
I forgot my CTET application number — how do I download the admit card?
Use the "Forgot Application Number" link on the ctet.nic.in login page and recover it with your registered details (name, date of birth and other particulars). Do this before the admit card window opens so you are ready to log in on the day it releases.
Is there a separate city intimation slip for CTET?
No. Unlike some railway and SSC exams, CTET does not release a separate city-intimation slip — the admit card itself (released ~2 days before the exam) carries your exam-city and full centre address, so it is the only document to wait for.
What is the CTET qualifying mark and is the certificate valid for life?
The qualifying score is 60% (90/150) for unreserved candidates and 55% (82/150) for reserved categories. A qualifying CTET certificate is valid for a lifetime and is accepted for teaching posts in KVS, NVS, DSSSB, EMRS, Central Tibetan Schools and most state PRT/TGT recruitments.
CTET Admit Card 2026: September Session Hall Ticket Download Date and Steps at ctet.nic.in — Analysis & Trends
A note for candidates.
The single biggest mistake at this stage is refreshing ctet.nic.in too early and panicking when the admit card is not there — CBSE simply does not release it weeks ahead, so a missing hall ticket in July or August is normal, not a problem. Use the long gap before 6 September for focused revision: CTET has no negative marking, so attempt every question, and because the paper is qualifying rather than competitive, steady accuracy across child development, the two languages and your subject area matters more than speed. When the admit card does drop in early September, download it the same day, check the centre address and the reporting time printed on it, and do a practice run of the route if the centre is unfamiliar. Carry only the printed admit card and one original photo ID; leave phones, smartwatches and study material outside.
