Who can apply

Specialist Grade II needs an MBBS plus a recognised PG degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the specialty with the prescribed post-PG experience. Child Psychologist needs an M.Phil in Clinical Psychology with RCI registration and around two years' experience. All eligibility is reckoned as on 1 July 2026. How to apply

  1. Open the JIPMER recruitment page (the official link is in the Important Links section at the bottom of this page).
  2. Register and fill the online form for your post — Specialist, GDMO or Child Psychologist.
  3. Upload your photograph, signature, degree, registration and experience documents.
  4. Pay the fee online — ₹1,500 (UR/EWS/OBC) or ₹1,200 (SC/ST); PwBD candidates are exempt.

Why this is worth applying for

JIPMER posts carry the prestige and stability of a central institute, and the GDMO cohort (25 of the 34 posts) is the largest opening here — a realistic target for MBBS doctors with post-internship experience. With selection driven mostly by a CBT (80%), strong subject preparation directly improves your odds. For similar openings, see the AIIMS CRE Group B/C 2026 form and browse the medical jobs hub.

JIPMER Group A Non-Faculty Online Form 2026 — 34 Posts, Apply by 1 July — Analysis & Trends

A note on strategy.

The CBT carries 80% of the weight, so this is won in the written test, not the interview. That is unusually candidate-friendly: a doctor who prepares the core subject thoroughly can offset an average interview, whereas in interview-heavy selections the reverse is true. For GDMO aspirants — by far the biggest cohort here — focus revision on general medicine, emergency care and the basics across systems, since the GDMO CBT tends to be broad rather than deep. Specialist applicants should make sure their PG registration and experience documents exactly match the specialty advertised, because mismatched experience is the commonest rejection at JIPMER document verification. Apply early; the 4:30 PM hard cut-off on 1 July leaves no grace window. Always confirm specialty-wise experience requirements against the official notice before paying the fee.
