How to Check the NIFTEE Stage-II Result 2026
- Visit the official result portal: exams.nta.nic.in/niftee (or the link on nift.ac.in).
- Click on the NIFTEE 2026 Result / Scorecard link.

How the Final Merit Is Calculated
For the B.Des programme, the final merit is a weighted combination of three components:
- Creative Ability Test (CAT): 50%
- General Ability Test (GAT): 30%
- Situation Test (held 26 April 2026): 20%
For postgraduate programmes (M.Des, M.F.Tech, MFM), Stage-II involves a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI), and the final weightage differs from the B.Des pattern. Candidates should check the exact component weightage for their specific programme in the official NIFT information bulletin, as PG and B.F.Tech weightings are notified separately.
NIFT Counselling 2026 — What Happens Next
Securing a valid Common Merit Rank is the gateway to NIFT counselling. The expected flow is:
- Candidates with a valid CMR register on the NIFT counselling portal — expected in the last week of June 2026.
- Pay the counselling fee and fill in campus and programme preferences.
- Seats are allotted through multiple rounds — typically a few seat-allotment rounds followed by a spot round (exact schedule to be notified by NIFT).
- Report to the allotted campus with original documents for admission.
NIFT 2026 Cut-off & Merit List
NIFT does not release a single fixed cut-off before counselling. Instead, category- and campus-wise closing ranks are released round-wise during the counselling process. Your position relative to these closing ranks — based on your CMR — determines the campus and programme you can secure. How to Check Your Result
- Visit the official portal of NTA — direct link in the result CTA above.
- Locate the result link for the relevant examination + year (most boards have a dedicated result-check page per cycle).
- Enter your Roll Number and Date of Birth exactly as they appear on the admit card.
- Submit the form. The provisional mark sheet PDF will display on screen.
- Save and print at least two copies of the score card for your records.
- Cross-check name spelling, subject codes, and totals. If anything looks wrong, follow the re-checking / re-evaluation process within the official window.
- The original embossed mark sheet is collected from the candidate's school 30-60 days later, when the examining body dispatches printed certificates.
