Selection process and 2026 change
Selection has five stages: CBT-1 → CBT-2 (Part A + Part B) → CBAT → Document Verification → Medical (A-1). The big change in 2026 is the final-merit formula: 50% CBT-2 Part A + 50% CBAT, against the earlier 70/30 split. CBT-2 Part B is qualifying only at 35% (no reserved-category relaxation), so trade preparation is mandatory regardless of merit weight. Negative marking is 1/3 mark in CBT-1, CBT-2, and CBAT.
