Educational Qualification:

• Eligibility to view this answer key: You must have appeared in the UP PGT written exam on 9 or 10 May 2026 in one of the 18 subjects. Your Roll Number from the admit card + Date of Birth are needed to login on upessc.up.gov.in.
• Documents needed for an objection: NCERT page reference, recruiter syllabus page, or official gazette / government notification that disputes the marked answer. Coaching-material screenshots are rejected.
• Post-exam stages: Final answer key (within 2-4 weeks) → Written exam result → Document Verification → Interview before the UPESSC selection board → Final merit on combined Written + Interview marks → Posting at a UP state Intermediate / Higher Secondary school.

Nationality: Indian citizen with Uttar Pradesh domicile for state-quota reservation benefits.

How to Apply Online

1. Visit the official portal of UPESSC (linked in Important Links below).
2. Register with a valid email and mobile number to generate login credentials.
3. Fill the application form with personal, educational, and contact details exactly as on official documents.
4. Upload a recent passport-size photograph and signature in the prescribed format and size.
5. Pay the application fee through the prescribed payment mode (see Application Fee table above).
6. Review all entries carefully, then submit the form.
7. Download and print a copy of the submitted application for your records.

What UP PGT is, in one paragraph

UP PGT is the Uttar Pradesh Post Graduate Teacher recruitment, conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC). PGT teachers are posted at UP state government / aided Intermediate and Higher Secondary schools, teaching Classes 11 and 12. This cycle is under Advertisement No. 02/2022 with 624 posts across 18 subjects. The written exam carries the bulk of the merit weightage; an interview before the UPESSC selection board adds the rest.

How to download your answer key + response sheet

1. Open upessc.up.gov.in on a desktop or laptop.
2. Click the "PGT Provisional Answer Key 12 May 2026" link on the homepage.
3. Enter your Roll Number (from the admit card) and Date of Birth in DD-MM-YYYY format.
4. Solve the CAPTCHA and click "Login".
5. Download the provisional answer key PDF for your subject + your response sheet (the OMR scan).
6. Open both files side-by-side and match every question option-by-option.
7. Apply the marking scheme: +1 for correct, 0 for wrong (no negative marking), 0 for unattempted.
8. Sum your subject score. The maximum is the number of questions in your paper.

How to raise an objection — by 12 noon on 18 May

1. Login at upessc.up.gov.in with the same Roll Number + Date of Birth.
2. Click "Raise Objection" on the candidate dashboard.
3. Select the question number you dispute.
4. Upload supporting evidence as a PDF or image — NCERT page, recruiter syllabus, or official gazette / notification. Coaching-material screenshots are rejected.
5. Pay the nominal per-question objection fee online (commonly ₹100-₹200 for UP-state recruitments — confirm the exact amount on the live notice).
6. Submit and download the receipt.
7. UPESSC subject committee reviews every objection during the final-key preparation.

Provisional vs Final answer key

What happens after 18 May

• Subject committee review: UPESSC expert panel reviews every accepted objection and revises wrong answers.
• Final answer key release: Within 2 to 4 weeks at upessc.up.gov.in.
• Written exam result: Subject-wise + category-wise cut-offs published.
• Document verification + interview: Originals of Class 10, Class 12, qualifying graduation, Master\'s degree in the subject, B.Ed certificate, age proof, UP domicile, caste / EWS / PwD certificate as applicable. Interview before the UPESSC selection board.
• Final posting: At a UP state Government / Aided Intermediate / Higher Secondary school by district per the candidate\'s preference.
